What is synchronous SRAM?How is it different from asynchronous SRAM?
Static random access memory(SRAM)itself is a kind of storage technology that loses data when power is off,but does not need to be refreshed when working.Each memory cell in it usually needs 6 transistors,which also determines its characteristics of high production cost and small capacity.But in terms of speed,SRAM has always had an advantage.
 
SRAM is mainly divided into synchronous and asynchronous types.Asynchronous SRAM controls read and write operations by internally generated clock signals.Although the power consumption is low,the timing control is difficult and the read and write speed is slow.Synchronous SRAM works with a unified external clock signal coordination circuit,and all operations are strictly aligned with the clock edge-address and control signals are latched on the rising edge of the clock,and data is read or written on the subsequent clock edge.
